Ashes of the Veil- A Beginning

Welcome to the official blog of L. R. Fowler — a place for stories born of shadow, myth, and flame.

This space will grow to house not just Ashes of the Veil, but the many tales whispered in the corner of my imagination. For now, it begins here with the first excerpt and a declaration of creation.

“The Veil did not burn; it bled. Not with fire, but with the slow unraveling of a memory — a thousand forgotten whispers clinging to its frayed edges like dust on grave cloth.

In the hollows between moonlight and ash, where the forest drank secrets and the wind bore no name, he stood. Cloaked in black and bound with silence, the last witness waited — not for salvation, but for the return of what was owed.

‘They will not come; said the voice behind the trees.
‘They must; he whispered, ‘for I remember!”
